RUNNING SHOES REVIEW

ADIDAS ADIZERO BOSTON 7 - The Adizero Boston 7 continues the tradition that has made this franchise a great option for runners looking for a fast, long-distance shoe. The upper features a few changes that improve minor weaknesses from previous models. The forefoot is a semi-open mesh, the iconic three stripes providing the same mid-foot support in a saddle which connects to the laces. The heel tab has been raised by a centimeter or so, to unobtrusively cushion the calcaneus and achilles area while still giving enough material to comfortably get them on, and the supportive heel counter continues as before. The midsole is largely unchanged, the heel bevel sloped for a smoother touchdown. Continental rubber completes the package in a full length configuration. Whether for tempo runs, long races, or even daily training, the Adizero Boston 7 continues to be a great choice for runners looking for a low profile shoe.

Sizes: Men 6.5-13; Women 6-11
Weight: 9.4 oz. (men's size 11); 7.5 oz. (women's size 8)
Shape: semi-curved
Construction: Strobel slip-lasted
Geometry: full-contact

THIS MONTH'S RECOMMENDED EVENT

JULY 1 - Here is an offer you can't refuse - running with the Godfather. The town of Savoca near Messina in Sicily - hosting the Trofeo podistico cittā di Savoca, a mountain race featuring a 8.25k distance - was the location for the scenes set in Corleone of Coppola's "The Godfather". Bar Vitelli in Savoca, which is still a functioning establishment, was featured in the motion picture as the place where Michael Corleone asked Apollonia's father to meet his daughter. Despite years since its making, "The Godfather" continues to appeal for its cultural value as an iconic movie that portrays not only the Italian culture but also the struggles for the American Dream. Now leave the gun and take your running shoes.
