SKECHERS GOMEB SPEED 4 - The GoMeb has been a successful racing shoe that is versatile enough for a variety of distances from road miles to marathons, depending on a runner's efficiency. The GoMeb Speed 4, builds on the successes of previous versions while upping its game a bit in the process. The upper features a similar knit upper from the Speed 3 2016, with a little more rearfoot support, thanks to the addition of a DuPont Hytrel plastic heel clip which maintains the integrity of the heel for the life of the shoe. The stretchy yarn allows the foot to flex well, while providing both a great fit and breathability. The midsole is a cushier execution of the 5Gen midsole compound from last year's shoe, which has proven to be very effective in the twin lightweight trainers the GoRun 5 and GoMeb Razor offered up this Spring. Embedded in the midsole is a support plate through the shank (DuPont's Delrin), to spread the shock over a broader area, extending the midsole's cushion while offering a snappier ride. The outersole is a barely there layer which Skechers calls the Parametric Web, which is light with more than sufficient traction and decent durability. The light, soft, but responsive fit, ride, and feel makes the GOmeb Speed 4 effective, protective, and versatile.
Testers: "Breathes well and has a secure fit without constricting the foot because of its stretchy yarn. Bouncy cushioning that is a good blend of protective and snappy"

MAY 1 - Traditional balsamic vinegar is produced in the Emilia Romagna region typically from Trebbiano grapes boiled down to create a concentrate, which is then fermented with a slow aging process in wooden casks, becoming dark, sweet and thick. The Maratonina dell'aceto balsamico tradizionale held in Spilamberto, near Modena, features several courses ranging from 1.5k to 13k, but most important of all, each runner with a symbolic entry fee, will receive a bottle of the traditional "black nectar" as a participation prize. www.polisportivasanvito.it |
