IN ITALY WE RUN LIKE THIS

April 25 is a national Italian holiday commemorating the end of Nazi occupation during World War II and the victory of the Resistance. Held for decades on Italy's Liberation Day, the "Trofeo Frosali" race in Sesto Fiorentino, near Firenze, commemorates the sacrifice of one of his partisans, and sports the Italian flag on its course signage.

RUNNING SHOES REVIEW

REEBOK FLOATRIDE RUN - Reebok has made a return to running with some serious footwear for your consideration. The top-of-the-line trainer is the Floatride Run. The upper is a stretchy knit construction, which has a TPU cage over the mid-foot to offer support and allow the laces to secure the foot over the midsole. The midsole is a new material for Reebok which is a polyamide foam that is very lightweight, offers good resiliency, great shock absorption, with surprisingly good durability as well - especially given how light it is. The outer sole is a rubber compound which has kind of a sticky nature but with good durability, traction and grip, in fact it frequently squeaks on smooth floors as it scuffs the surface. As a top-of-the-line trainer the Reebok Floatride Run covers all the bases, offering great performance, and with a price that is actually a value compared to comparable competing shoes. New shoe.

Testers: "Great cushioning, soft but responsive (not mushy). Fit was really good, really really comfortable."

Sizes: Men 7.5-13, 14; Women 5-10
Weight: 10.1 oz. (men's size 11); 8.2 oz. (women's size 8)
Shape: semi-curved
Construction: Strobel slip-lasted, EVA Strobel board
Geometry: full-contact

THIS MONTH'S RECOMMENDED EVENT

JUNE 3 - The Cortina-Dobbiaco Run is a real experience for all senses. The point-to-point 30k race starts from Cortina d'Ampezzo, the Queen of the Dolomites, and follows the old railway track, slightly uphill on a dirt road, through galleries and bridges that seem suspended in mid-air. All this always with the Dolomites at the side, and up to Passo Cima Banche, the highest point of the race, which separates the provinces of Belluno and Bolzano. The route starts then its descent towards the Landro lake, passing in front of the majestic Tre Cime di Lavaredo, universal symbol of this place, and the alpine Dobbiaco lake, a sign that the finishing line is getting closer.
